Pros

None it’s terrible avoid at all costs

Cons

Where to begin. No doubt they’ll get this one removed too along with all the other negative ones. Head ofs, managers and team leaders are only out for themselves and couldn’t care less about us along with a CEO and her overpaid friends and relations who’d rather turn up in their flash cars bragging about where they’re going on holiday next instead of looking after us. Forcing staff to sign up for government funded qualifications all at once again and again to bolster their coffers for what they call “stop the bus” which is happening now again to con even more money and hounding people if they haven’t signed up in time to name and shame them. The head ofs and managers forcing staff to commit fraud on their behalf and people being scared to say no as it would jeopardise their jobs so got them to pretend they are clients not associated with the company and to hide their uniforms when OFSTED visits to fraudulently convince them they were learners from other companies and were happy with the training and service after they had been coached on what to tell them. FRAUD!!! Blackmailed and forced into completing supposedly anonymous surveys then getting shown up as individuals when the results had came back unless they were favourable. Get on the wrong side of the so called bosses and you’re sacked so everyone is scared to speak up and you don’t dare take any time off if you’re ill or try to speak up when something is wrong you’ll be singled out. Bullying. This is widespread and goes all the way up to the CEO. They’re only interested in self promotion and will throw everyone to the wolves to promote themselves even when our caseloads are unmanageable. Don’t even try to put the learners first or say anything you know is wrong it’s all about the money and only the money. If you crawl round the CEO who has been given an OBE for reasons we fail to understand you’ll progress even if you’re useless and have been carried by the staff under you as you take credit for all their hard work. Management or more the complete lack of it. They hire people with no relevant experience but their face fits as it’s a girls club but they are good at shouting at you or threatening to get rid of you and telling the CEO what she wants to hear. Well when she’s actually in the country instead of posting instagram photos of her latest holiday in her villa or bragging about the latest sports car she’s bought. Directors, managers and team leaders don’t have a clue what we do they just increase the targets with no thought on how it will affect us and the learners they’re just interested in protecting their over inflated wage. Pressure piled on pressure it’s not about the learners anymore it’s about how much money they can con out of the government so they’d rather show you up to make an example of you instead of helping or listening so the caseloads are unmanageable. Lazy corrupt staff who spend the day crawling around management and bullying and backstabbing each other instead of doing their jobs which makes ours harder as we have to take up the slack just so they can get away with doing nothing and worm their way up the ladder. Can’t wait to find another job as I thought it might get better and some of us don’t want to let the learners down but it’s gotten worse I’ve never known a company run as fraudulently and with a complete lack of care to their staff and learners.

Learning Curve Group Response

We are always keen to take feedback onboard at Learning Curve Group (LCG), both good and bad, and will always work towards making LCG a fantastic place to work. You have highlighted a quite a few issues here however, and although we appreciate everyone’s experience maybe different, there are some we’d like to address: “Removing Glassdoor reviews” - we don’t control Glassdoor reviews and are unable to remove them – the Glassdoor community guidelines outline what can / cannot be done by businesses on the platform. “It’s all about the money” – there are a number of references to the company’s focus on revenue, however, you will know as a current staff member that a business-wide salary review has just been completed and rolled out. This has increased all bottom line salaries to the real living wage and introduced salary bands for all roles, which has been a significant investment (in excess of £1/2 million p.a.). The initiative was fully supported by the CEO and wider board members as our commitment to supporting colleagues. “Surveys” - In relation to our surveys, each year we take part in both the Investors in People and Best Companies surveys. Results this year were excellent and LCG achieved gold status for IIP and the organisation features on three lists for Best Companies. The surveys are completely anonymous – meaning we are unable to see any individual’s contribution. The only level of detail we are able to see is team survey results to help us identify areas for improvement. To ensure the data we get is accurate we strongly encourage people to complete the surveys by offering an early finish for those that do – how individuals then complete the survey is absolutely up to them. From these surveys we have been listed as the 37th best company to work for in the UK in addition to securing IIP gold. We received these listings because of what our Purple People said about us. “Bullying and Fraud” – these are very serious allegations and ones that we take very seriously. We urge you to contact our Director of People, Louise Clough (louise.clough@learningcurvegroup.co.uk) to raise these concerns so they can be addressed. Alternatively we have Whistle blowing policy which you can refer to via our Purple People system.

You’re encouraged to build your skills, take on new challenges, and progress in your career. It’s a place where development is truly valued.

The pace of the organisation can be very fast, which may feel demanding at times. Communication between different departments could occasionally be more consistent to ensure everyone stays aligned.
