Pros
- Immediate colleagues are genuine, friendly and helpful. - Everybody has a desire to grow the company, region by region and they don’t hesitate to work a little extra time or put in the extra effort. Really enjoyed working with both my immediate and remote colleagues across our different offices.
Cons
- Micromanagement Senior leadership micromanaged a lot of ground-level tasks, disrupting the initial signed-off strategy. Because of this, the product offering flipped and flopped day by day, delivery was rushed, and deadlines were rarely made. Unfortunately, an employee’s past experience or results elsewhere meant little. I would suggest to senior leadership that you hire talent that you trust to make departmental and team decisions, so you can focus on the overall business strategy. - Bureaucratic Leadership Unusually for a start-up, leadership is bureaucratic, with little opportunity to provide feedback for change. I saw first hand how the company censors constructive employee feedback and deletes messages from Slack it does not approve. - Exploited employees Entry-level professionals starting out their career here are motivated by inspiring brand values and working together to make something special, but the reality of low wages, overnight and weekend working and even sleeping in the office, unfortunately, does not match up.
