      Pros

      Great team to work with. Because of the small size of the startup company everyone is very good at what they do. Great base salary.

      Cons

      Company has been doing very bad financially in the past few years, and has been recently purchased for very little by another startup in the medical field. The new company decided to abruptly terminate any R&D effort. They went from 200 employees to 50 within a year. Most people still working there now are administrative stuff, field support, and upper management. Not sure LENSAR has a future.

      1. I was able to talk to anyone about anything. 2. Invaluable knowledge about my field. 3. Learn anything you really want to go after. 4. No overbearing pressure.

      Only real downside not much room to grow

      Pros

      Pay, benefits, travel and meeting Physicians and staff

      Cons

      No buy in from management for growth. No encouragement to work with other departments to foster a team. No response when bringing up issues. A culture where people who are favored can do no wrong. People being put in management jobs with no training and no responsibility for their own weaknesses.
