Pros
The work done here by clinicians, doctors, nurses, and admin staff is phenomenal. Staff work daily with barely nothing and still put their heart and soul into it.
Cons
Pay is terrible and you are expected to produce year after year with no raises. The center is still known in the community as the "place for crazy people" and nothing has been done to change that image. The CEO doesn't participate in any community events but prefers to rub shoulders with the politicians in Tallahassee. There is no vision, no upgrades, no nothing. He is a glorified figure head and never interacts with the people on the bottom of the org chart. In his twice-a-year staff meetings he talks about how much he is going to do for the company but nothing ever gets done. He even drives a company car while many employees are barely able to get to work or buy food! Turnover is high which makes it hard on our clients. The morale is low which makes the work environment very negative and not a good place to be. Be prepared to fork out what's left of your meager salary to donate to many of their fundraisers. Employees are expected to "give back."
