Pros

- Solid benefits. PTO time accrues quickly. - Friendly co-workers. - Good work/life balance. - Above-average pay.

Cons

- Room for professional growth is very limited. - Because the company is so small, while your PTO accrues quickly it's easy to feel guilty using it & throwing more work on your co-workers. - Repetitive work. - Little to no connection between departments. No connection with upper management (you hardly ever saw them in the office anyway). Lack of cross-training. - Mandatory quarterly meetings had no relevance for departments other than Account Executives, Sales & Upper Management. - High rate of turnover. - Stagnant culture and company that is starting to fall behind the times. - Phone system is antiquated and usually leads to customers being transferred multiple times.

Pros

They have excellent benefits which start immediately, and the pay is higher than industry standard. The insurance is through Regence BCBS of Oregon, a sister company under the Cambia umbrella.

Cons

Management likes to use lots of business catch phrases to seem like they are making changes, but they are a big company who never really left the feel of a small company. The departments don't work together, there are no time frames given to staff or clients, the training is all powerpoints made by a someone who has never worked in this business before, they have software they have paid millions of dollars for that still doesn't work after a year and the CEO also manages a health app called HubBub, even though LifeMap needs better management direction. They are slowly but surely outsourcing every aspect of the business, from dental and disability claims, premium billing, to Customer Service. Soon the only thing that will be left are sales and account management, and all of the upper level management of course. Someone has to be in conference calls all day!
