Pros

For me, the best part of working at LightStep is the culture and overall atmosphere. I came from a pretty toxic work environment in my last job, so walking in here was such a relief. The company does a great job of training and onboarding new hires, while creating a close-knit community. I also appreciate the resources they put into their employees - I have never once felt like I didn't know what was expected of me, nor have I felt like I didn't have the proper support to do my job. It's also a tech company in San Francisco, so I'd be remiss to not mention the "perks" that come along with working here: Wellness benefits, L&D program, stocked kitchen, fantastic office, etc.

Cons

Honestly at this point, I can't think of any. I see a lot of cons on Glassdoor being about working insanely long hours for bad pay, but that's not an issue here. So far, I've only seen a strong work/life balance culture (that's honestly just a respect thing).

Pros

This is a product-led organization with a strong engineering focus, with strong opinions about what products should and shouldn’t do. This is where the cloud native observability market seems to be going, our telemetry data platform is currently leading the industry. We have a nice list of high growth customers that are using our products as a competitive advantage to build great products and win in their own markets. Our customer retention rate is through the roof. Sales isn’t about trying to convince a reluctant developer to sign a big deal. It’s about enabling developers to try our product, and understand how it can transform their business. - Great office in SF with a roof deck.

Cons

CEO/GM has been known to play the banjo on weekly all hands calls
