Pros

The staff at the site level are great. Very friendly and helpful. The sites are dedicated teams of experienced staff which meet high standards of volume and quality.

Cons

Corporate cares nothing about investing in their employees, offering absolutely nothing more in benefits than the minimum required by law. There is no avenue for professional development. They underbudget studies and even go into studies with no contract signed until the final days of study completion, leading to underselling for the labor, time, and costs associated with the study, leading to a loss in revenue and sites operating at a defecit, which the sites are then chastised for. The corporate team over-promises deliverables that are not remotely feasible because no one there has an understanding of what clinical work actually entails. The corporate office has sent staff to the sites to get a one to two hour briefing on what clinical research is, because they fill their staff with people who have no experience running clinical trials. This would be fine, except these are the people setting agreements with sponsors, and so overstating capabilities and over-promising. They also blatantly lie to get contracts. They care more about their revenue than quality, leaving it to the site network to double- and triple-time, pulling 60-80 and sometimes more work weeks, to deliver.
