Pros
Lively is a startup and still a relatively small company. This means a lot is expected from each hire, and the work can sometimes be very demanding. However, this comes with the opportunity to grow, learn new skills, and work across many domains simultaneously—something I was unable to do at many of my previous companies. Furthermore, Lively empowers me to bring ideas to the table, and I always appreciate the transparency regarding our company’s performance, direction, and the reasoning behind our decisions. What has made me happiest here are my colleagues—I genuinely enjoy problem-solving and collaborating with our team daily. Every success is celebrated by all, rather than just a few. If you're looking to level up, you've found the right place.
Cons
As mentioned above, the workload can sometimes be grueling. Fortunately, it is seasonal and predictable, so you just need to be mentally prepared to push through it. Beyond that, we experience many of the same growing pains as other companies at our stage, including a need for better documentation and processes in some areas, occasional resource constraints, shifting priorities, and the challenge of balancing speed with long-term scalability. That said, the fast-paced environment also creates plenty of opportunities to make an impact and help shape the company’s future.
