The purpose of grading is to highlight your mistakes so you do not repeat them in the future. As a result, your writing style gradually gets better and better. The reason why the fines are applied for getting D or F is the fact that 94% of such orders sooner or later gets fully or partially refunded.
Speaking about $45 order, most probably it was a 5+ page project. Usually, all types of work require following the basic structure with minor discrepancies. I hope you would agree that it would be weird not to have any conclusions after such a research.
Our current graders used to work either as our full-time or freelance writers for more than 2-3 years! They know how it feels like to get a poor grade as they went through this just the way you did but still managed to become top performers.
