Pros

Remote, ok place to gain experience

Cons

Hardwork goes unnoticed. Historically have only promoted with favoritism in mind. Constantly changing without communicating amongst all teams, so either the customer is telling you something for the first time or the loader is. Leadership lacks enthusiasm, passion, & drive because they are capped out on growth

First off, thank you for taking the time to review LoadUp. We appreciate your candid feedback about the company. To address your review I’ll start with the pros you’ve listed. Pros: We’re proud to have a remote environment where our employees have the flexibility to live where they want while pursuing the career they want. I would argue that we provide an environment that does more than OK in gaining experience. We strive to foster an open environment where if you want to learn and take on more responsibilities you have the ability to do just that. I’d also like to highlight that we’re a growing company that provides newly elevated opportunities for career development within the organization. Cons: We certainly don’t take feedback of this caliber lightly. If management has given the impression that favoritism is what gets you ahead then we’ve failed at clearly communicating expectations for how promotions are given. We are a results-oriented company, promotions go to the individuals who perform and embody our company's core values of Passion, Integrity, Innovation, Customer Centricity, Collaboration, & Entrepreneurial Spirit coupled with an assessment of the individuals' understanding of the role, wanting the role, & their capability to perform the role. This may look like favoritism, but I can assure you that we promote based on the aforementioned only. In regard to communication, without context to what you're specifically referring to, I can confirm there has been quite a bit of recent change in our organization. All healthy organizations have to change in order to grow. An unfortunate side effect to this is that some information can get lost in the mix as things shift. Noted and we’ll do better on this front moving forward as changes occur. Lastly, I would like to address your comment on being capped out on growth. This statement couldn’t be further from the truth. LoadUp has grown immensely year after year and landed on the inc 5000 list 3 years in a row. We’ve scaled the company from 15 employees in 2020 to right at 50 in 2022. Along the way, multiple people in our organization elevated their positions. Additionally, I can assure you that senior leadership is passionate and extremely driven to make this company successful for our employees and customers alike. Again, thank you for your feedback and I hope this response addresses not only your concerns but also the concerns of potential candidates. Sincerely, Greg Workmon

Pros

I truly love my job at LoadUp Technologies. I’ve always believed that you can thrive in a company with a strong, positive culture — and that’s exactly what I’ve found here. What sets LoadUp apart is its genuine commitment to its purpose, mission, and vision, while consistently embodying its core values. Leadership doesn’t just talk about these principles — they live them. The company truly cares about its employees, and that care naturally extends to the customers & partners we serve. One of the things I appreciate most is the cross-collaboration across departments. Everyone works together, supports one another, and contributes to shared success on a daily basis. It really feels like a true work family. We’re growing at an incredible pace, and it’s an exciting time to be part of the journey. If you haven’t considered LoadUp for your career, now is the time to jump on board.

Cons

I can't thing of any! The company is continually growing and evolving, and if you’re open to embracing change, you’ll have the opportunity to be part of something truly exciting.

Pros

We both know there isn't any

Cons

It's a subscription based company with 3 tiers. To get the offers first you must pay 500 dollars each month. Second tier is 250 and the lowest tier is 75 a month. You won't make your money back on the 75 a month tier. You only get offers that everyone else has already declined. You also have to pay 100 dollars for 1000 points. You use those points to pay for jobs. When it's time to get paid they don't use direct deposit or paper checks, PayPal, venmo, cash app, apple pay, branch or anything that will get you paid the same day. They only use stripe, square or quickbooks. You create an account and connect your bank account. Load up sends you an invoice. You send the invoice back to load up through the payment platform. They send you a digital card. You then pay yourself through a second invoice with your payment platform, for a convenience fee of course. Load up calls you 5 times a day with job offers that don't pay enough to survive. But the ask you to under bid that number. They try to start bidding wars with other contractors doing all the labor. The lowest bid gets the job. Management keeps all the savings. Payment takes well over a week and the digital card is only valid for 2 weeks. They must keep the money after that. You won't even believe how bad this company is

We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and feedback. We understand that every contractor has different preferences and working styles, and we’re sorry to hear that your experience left you feeling frustrated. Our subscription tiers, lead distribution system, and payout structure are designed to give contractors flexibility in how they grow their business, while also supporting fast access to opportunities across many markets. We recognize that learning the payout workflow — including invoicing through merchant to merchant platforms — can feel unfamiliar at first, but these systems are in place to provide secure, trackable payments for both contractors and customers. Our partners successfully choose projects that fit their pricing, schedule, and business goals. Our team’s outreach is intended to help connect contractors with available opportunities, though we understand communication preferences can vary and we’re always working to improve that experience. We genuinely value all contractor feedback, including criticism, because it helps us continue refining the platform and improving support.
