Atmosphere - Software Engineer Lone Rooftop Employee Review

Lone Rooftop is a startup run by managers who understand that employees are people too. I feel encouraged to take my time and work carefully. Just as importantly, I know that my concerns are both heard and carefully considered. Many companies talk about "transparency" as their core value but fail to follow through, but Lone Rooftop excels at being open and honest. I would describe most team members as skilled, driven, and professional, but also as being relaxed and empathetic. We often take walks through the parks around the office or go swimming in the lake during lunch breaks when it's hot out. Honestly, working here for the past 7 months has been great, and I look forward to seeing how we continue to grow!

Lone Rooftop has a few of the normal small-startup problems, like any company its size! Here's what I got, although clearly these points aren't important enough to me to detract from my overall rating: - Developers have a very wide range of responsibilities because there isn't enough space for specialisation. This can be great at times (I learn a lot here), but it can also be overwhelming. - Our location (the B Buildings north of the Amsterdamse Bos) isn't the greatest.
