Pros

The people at Loomis Group were well intentioned and bright. Office location was a plus. Outside of these things, it was a difficult place to thrive.

Cons

The owner was more interested in his wine, parties and having a good time than building something that would last. Poor choices abound.

Pros

Loomis Group had a great San Francisco location on the Embarcadero waterfront. We had several top-tier clients including Google and Samsung. My co-workers were smart, creative and fun. The office atmosphere was super casual, with beer on tap in the conference room, happy hours on Friday afternoons, bring-your-dog-to-work every day and an "anything goes" dress code.

Cons

The agency seemed to lack focus in terms of both existing clients and new business opportunities. Roles and responsibilities within departments and cross-functional teams weren't clearly defined. Loomis Group seemed incredibly under staffed, which was quite evident given the extremely long hours that most employees worked to try to keep up with the heavy workload. Yet there were numerous layoffs while I worked at Loomis Group, with employees given same-day notice that they were let go and only a few hours to fill a box with their personal belongings and be shown the door.
