Pros

-Very dedicated team, smart, friendly, helpful people -free in office lunches -Compensated parking

Cons

-Way too much work for level of pay: the pay is slightly above average for Toronto but management expects Amazon level workload done for half the compensation. You are expected 3x as much work for maybe 15-20% more TC compare to working at a bank or legacy company. -"Very high turnovers" -Team spread across timezones create dysfunctionality due to difficulty of communication/collaboration -Very oudated/niche tech stack both hard to work with (lots of extra hours!) and don't look good on resume. -Everything is constantly on fire. Very high number of production issues which engineers are expected to handle daily on top of regular tickets. So expect lots of overtime.

Pros

- The team is generally composed of talented and hardworking individuals. - Exposure to interesting projects and technologies.

Cons

- The salary offered is not competitive, especially considering the demands of the job and the industry standards. This lack of adequate compensation makes it difficult to justify the workload. - There is very little support provided to new joiners. The onboarding process is minimal and largely consists of being handed documentation without much guidance. This can be particularly challenging when faced with unfamiliar tasks or new responsibilities. - Leadership seems more focused on assigning tasks than on leading and supporting their teams. Effective leadership, especially for newcomers, requires not just delegation but also mentorship and guidance, which was noticeably lacking.
