Pros
Since I have been here 20+ years, I would say the most obvious Pro is stability.
Cons
Due to the job stability that has been part of telecom, at least in the finance role, there is very little attrition, and thus, very few opportunities to grow in the company. The pay for performance process that Lumen has in place, often means that many good employees can go 3, 4, 5, 6 + years without a raise (zero) if they are on a high performing team. Lumen only allows a team of 10 to offer 2 people high ratings and thus, only 2 per year have the potential to receive raises, even if there are 5-6 high performing employees that are all exceeding expectations.
