Pros

One month notice period meant it was nice and easy to leave. There are some absolutely fantastic people working there, and they deserve much better. An easy job if you just want to coast along until retirement. Free on-site parking if you arrive before 8:30.

Cons

This used to be an okay company to work for. There was an annual bonus of around 10%, a fantastic annual staff party including a hotel room for the night, and a nice atmosphere where you felt valued. The bonus and staff party have gone now, and the atmosphere has become that of a mortuary. The management team are completely unfit to lead, and any dissenting voices are crushed and publicly 'dressed down' for all to see. The lack of empathy shown towards staff is the final straw that led to me leaving, and it was the single best decision I've ever made for my mental health. Technology wise, the company is around 5 years behind, and any discussion of incorporating new technologies is dismissed by management. Training is absolutely non-existent. There are members of staff that have been disciplined for sexual harassment and bullying on several occasions that are still with the company, which shows you exactly how little the company cares about the safety and dignity of it's employees. The CEO sold the company to a competitor for a giant profit and then abandoned ship, and the company is now facing multiple redundancies and job cuts... so it's too late to make things better.

Pros

CEO is a good guy Most employees are nice to work with Good overtime Average Benefits

Cons

- The software you support is overly complex, considering the pay. - If you enjoy constant headaches/migraines this is the place for you. - Yes this is a support job, but it feels like you are trying to fix a sinking ship with many holes and your only tool is a Dixie cup. (For every one thing that is fixed, 3 more pieces break) - You will not advance. - CFO is cheap, which means management is not allowed to give raises so don't expect one. - Poor management decisions. - No real training put into place, but in fairness it is a very difficult product to train new hires on.
