Pros

The more you put into to it, the more you will get out of it. Overall a big thumbs up.

Cons

Doesn't favour a soft spoken individual.

Pros

I enjoy working in the MBB Team, not only for the type of projects I can access but the team is very collegiate and its a great company culture. Smaller teams mean I get to be involved across the projects and work with all levels of consultants.

Cons

It's a company growing steadily so there is always a need to recruit new team members to meet project demand. Not necessarily a con.

Pros

Opportunity to work on great projects and with recognised clients. Working with a team of experienced staff. The base compensation is competitive.

Cons

Great if you want to become a one-trick-pony in infrastructure procurement. Very little in the way of diversity of work. It’s either transactions or be seconded to a client as a Contract Manger. Leadership seem to hold a higher level of performance expectations for Managers and Associate Directors than the rest of the market, meaning promotions from these levels are few and far between. Expect to spend 5+ years in these titles. Most just leave at this point as it clearly slows career progression. The performance framework literally makes it impossible to achieve your full annual bonus, with built in ambiguity to adapt your individual performance review to match that of performance of the firm. Ie, staff marked down on their mid year and EOFY individual performance reviews because the firm didn’t meet their unrealistic financial targets, resulting in lower bonuses and blame shifted to employees. Outside of compensation, benefits are far below the market average.
