Old fashioned. Nobody seems to adapt to new technologies; everything has been designed 20 years ago and therefore "cannot be adapted in order to take into account newer more proficient methods of doing things". Everybody comes up with new "business processes" but fundamentally its the same spiele over and over. Average age is 45+. Which explains the reluctance to adapt. Failure to adhere to the old standards is considered to be a no-no. People who work here tend to have stayed here because they have settled down in local areas and therefore cannot afford to move. If you do not have these obligations i strongly recommend you do not join this company. Also if you do not have an active interest in aerospace, again, I strongly recommend you do not join this company. Career opportunities are limited and any attempt to change the culture is considered a preposterous manoeuvre.
