This has included repeated redundancies affecting experienced employees, with some roles replaced by lower-cost employees in Cape Town. In some cases the staff being made redundant are training their replacements. Redundancies have become a regular occurrence, and workplace culture has noticeably declined. Many employees describe an environment driven by fear, poor management practices, and a lack of support. Despite promoting values centred around people and humanity, many staff feel undervalued, overworked, and uncertain about their future within the business.
