- Lowest pay in the industry and one big reason for VFX industry problems - Canceled retroactive salary review, bad contracts and often try to cheat in pay by offering relocation, actively work around work laws - Contracts can be anything from 1 week to 6 months. Often extended by 2 weeks at time. - Lots of juniors who come and go - HR and management stuck to early 1900 century yet still giving a trendy caring brand image - Head of department completely clueless how to treat or manage people - People are expected to be in sharp times, no flexibility wether if your work is done or not - Lot of clique and hidden favoritism, oligarchy is running rampant, the select few are favoured in the department while others are there to just be usable - Same 20 people in have been there for well over ten years and cannot be changed - Juniors promoted to leads to stroke their egos and to compensate low pay and make them work harder - Supervisors getting younger and more inexperienced - People are afraid to speak their opinion
