Pros

The only positive that came from working at MRHELL is the people that I met and became close friends with. We all bonded over our mutual hatred for MRL.

Cons

It is really hard to know where to begin describing how horrible it was to work for Michael R. Levitt. The cons are literally infinite. He is rude, obnoxious, and disrespectful to his employees on a daily basis. He micromanages to the point that it is virtually impossible to do the job you were hired for. If Michael Levitt could, he would clone himself so that he only had himself to work with, because according to him, he is the only person capable of doing anything. Many employees were terrified to send a simple email for fear of getting called in to his office to dissect every single word used. Then they were chastised for wasting time. If you enjoy crying every day, massive amounts of stress and losing sleep this is the place for you.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. I've responded with the exact same response as the two posts above (direct copy and paste): We take great pride in our people and I am glad you enjoyed working with your co-workers. We're excited about recent hires and how they'll shape the future of the company. I am sorry you've had a negative experience. No one should ever feel unappreciated or disrespected, so I'd be keen to learn about specific examples. This goes against all of what we believe in as a company (and for me personally). While no one is perfect, what you've described is literally in conflict with who we are. Having said that, typically we'd take negative feedback like this very serious and would further explore internally. After all, the goal is to learn and improve. However, the timestamp, similarity, and unscrupulous nature of your post as it relates to the two posts below this seem coordinated and therefore make our efforts here unproductive. Should you want to provide constructive feedback on how we can improve, I would encourage you to reach out directly at any time so we can discuss further. We are sorry MRL was not the right fit for you and we wish you success in your future endeavor. -CEO

Pros

The team at MRL works quickly which allows the Sales team to prospect and be successful at bringing in more sales opportunities. This allows for a very intrapreneurial experience where I am able to manage my time and day based on clients needs and also prospect for future opportunities within clients and finding new ones too. Promotional products is a fast paced, detailed business which never stops which makes the day go by fast. The company growth has been tremendous and it is exciting to see every year how much we are growing and what the future will hold for The MRL Group.

Cons

Making sure that you balance your work life is important to avoid burnout. With growth comes some growing pains but there is a constant dedication to building a great company for all.

Pros

Remote work and annual company trips

Cons

This company overworks its employees and has unrealistic expectations. The workload doesn’t match the time given to resolve issues, and even managers seem unable to handle it. This company is very disorganized, constantly changing and implementing new rules almost every week! The micromanagement is excessive—managers still hop into emails or ask to be CC’d even after 1–2 years. No one speaks up because management sees feedback as complaining, and the team doesn’t work together to speak up on work issues. The job offers flexibility, but that’s about it. To be favored here, you basically have to make this job your entire life and personality. This might be my most frustrating job, but people overlook the downsides because it’s remote. There are better options out there—keep searching.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We appreciate your perspective, as it helps us understand areas where we can improve. We also recognize that remote work and annual company trips are aspects that many of our employees enjoy, and we're glad they’ve stood out as positives for you. Regarding your concerns about workload and unrealistic expectations, we understand that balancing priorities can be challenging. Our goal is always to ensure that our employees have the support and resources needed to succeed. While we strive for efficiency, we also understand that workloads should align with achievable timelines. If at any time you felt overwhelmed, we encourage open communication with your manager to explore ways we can work together, and we regret that you felt unable to communicate this at the time. As for the comment of micromanagement, we do place a high value on communication and collaboration across teams. Feedback and oversight are crucial in maintaining quality, and we try to balance that with trust in our employee’s autonomy. We also recognize that some roles require more oversight than others in order to uphold the quality and experience for our clients. It's important to us that employees feel empowered and not micromanaged, and we are committed to fostering an environment where feedback can be given constructively and is taken seriously. On the subject of company changes, we acknowledge that our industry requires agility and adaptability, but we understand how constant changes can feel overwhelming for some. We aim to make transitions as smooth as possible, and we’re always working on improving how we communicate changes so our teams feel more informed. We also want to clarify that while we highly value dedication to the company, we respect our employee's work-life balance. We do not expect employees to make their job their entire life, but we do encourage passion and commitment to the work at hand. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts. We’re committed to creating an environment where everyone can grow and thrive.
