Great place to start your career in Real Estate! - Lease Administrator MacMunnis Employee Review

Working for MacMunnis was an excellent place to start my career in Real Estate. They took the less common approach whereby they didn't screen for real estate experience but rather preferred smart and capable young talent looking for a career path. Many of my colleagues were new to real estate, just as I was, but the leadership and tools provided to us were enough for many of us to continue successful careers in the industry.

Pay was what you would expect for people with no experience. Not saying they were cheap, I don't believe they were.

Few and far between. The chance to leave for something better (which is almost anything) was there. A few aspects of the work can be interesting (though not many). The clients were ok for the most part. Evanston can be a decent location if you live on the north shore. Otherwise it is an awful location. Hard to get to and full of aging hippies.

You will hate your life. This company legitimately weighed on my psyche and self esteem. Management insults and disrespects you on a daily basis. The owners are a pair of thick-skulled, bigoted nimwits. Pay is bad. Hours are long. Stress is bountiful. Most of all, the work is extremely boring. If you enjoy reading real estate contracts over and over and over again, while getting shot in the face with rock salt, by all means work at MacMunnis. Otherwise, stay away.
