We are sorry that this employee rates his time at Macmillan negatively. We take complaints of racism very seriously. In response, our practice is to conduct an investigation --as we did in the case cited here –and take appropriate action. Terminating someone for making a complaint is unlikely to be an appropriate response. It was not the appropriate action in this instance and it is not what happened in this case.
