Pros

There are some amazing people working for this company. People I enjoy seeing and collaborating with every day. MMC offers a large suite of benefits, though employee contributions are high. Decent PTO allotment.

Cons

Management, from the top all the way down, is a complete disaster. When you can actually get in touch with them or get them to call you back, they're typically dismissive and offer you empty promises. They have no interest in you or your career development. On that note, there really is no opportunity for growth with this company. Be prepared to stay in the same role for your entire career here and receive minimal to no merit increase or bonuses. Work life balance is abysmal, and with the continued flood of people leaving the company this has only gotten worse. Rather than hire new, competent employees they will either just shift the work to a remaining employee (with no adjustment to compensation) or will take months to fill the position, but refuse to pay someone who's qualified enough to perform well in the position. While MMC touts being family friendly and caring about their employees, in my 5+ years experience there I haven't seen that to be the case. More than anything this place has the feel of a good old "boys' club." Sales is where all the awards and recognition are directed, while the rest of the staff is ignored and overworked.

Amazing people and culture. Opportunity for growth is great.

Cons

Understaffed for support. Offshoring support isn’t great.

Pros

Supportive and collaborative marketing leadership team. Leadership welcomed new ideas and outside perspectives. Clear direction from leadership, modern NYC office, and strong investment in marketing operations, technology, and innovation. I had the opportunity to meet with John Doyle several times. He always came across as decisive, approachable, and genuinely passionate about the business and its people. That tone carried through much of the leadership culture. I also enjoyed working for John Jones. He was a strong leader who set clear objectives, communicated priorities well, and created realistic expectations for the team. That clarity helped the organization stay focused while still encouraging innovation and new ideas.

Cons

Like many large enterprise organizations, decision-making could move slowly at times due to the matrixed structure and number of stakeholders involved across business units.
