Pros

If you're into comic books, it can be really fun to have a hand in bringing characters like Spider-Man and the X-Men to "life". Working directly in the publishing group can be fast-paced and exciting, and everyone you meet will think it's awesome you work at Marvel.

Cons

Management tends to treat employees dismissively, a culture of fear and surveillance is cultivated as a motivational tool. Favoritism and politics play a large part in promotion opportunities, it seems like everyone is a vice-president of something.

Pros

The characters and visibility working with them can bring.

Cons

The editors, assistant editors, almost everyone had a snobby elitist attitude. All the talk of wanting "diversity," led to most decision makers, who were white, hiring other whites. The women meanwhile: many leaned to the far left and seemed a bit discriminatory in wanting to mainly work with other women.
