Pros

Good benefits and good people to work with

Cons

When I first started at Medallion in 2021 it was certainly manageable for the volume of work we had to complete for payor enrollment however things took a huge turn after they fired the director of payer enrollment amongst others voluntarily leaving that I would consider experts in this field of healthcare. The company is heavily numbers driven which isn’t the issue since a lot of client service companies are quota based. The main issue is the company is growing way too fast which in turn has caused a dissatisfaction with the healthcare groups/providers they service. They’re having a hard time developing better methods for a lot of employees to not feel like they are struggling every single day. Their workflow processes and lack of training and development aren’t exactly solving the issues to make things run more efficiently within the department and make their employees feel more motivated doing their jobs. Leadership doesn’t seem to care either. In this company you have to roll with the punches or get booted out. You will have support here and there but not as much you really need to feel like you’re growing and succeeding in your role. There has been a lot of turnover within this last year that is more of a company and leadership issue than employees. The only good thing about working at the company are the benefits and some of people you work with. I know it wasn’t just me. According to Forbes, “ If a business continues to scale without adequate tools and resources to handle it, it won’t be able to sustain itself in the long run. ” I wish them the best but it’s not looking good for them right now

Pros

Meaningful mission in a space that actually matters. Strong cross-functional team with smart, collaborative people. Real ownership and autonomy across the board. Fast-moving environment where you can grow quickly if you're self-directed.

Cons

Startup pace means processes and tooling are still maturing. If you prefer a highly structured environment, the ambiguity can be an adjustment.

Pros

Pay, company trajectory (maybe?), remote

Cons

Horrible culture, people are weirdly mean and backstabby, they apply to get all the best places to work awards but it's all fake. Don't trust leadership, they avoid difficult conversations and are quick to act without consulting people. They'd rather fire people then develop them.
