Great support, understanding and compassion for staff around work life balance, wellbeing and providing support. Many company initiatives throughout the month to celebrate and support wellbeing in the workplace, plus charity volunteering days are a great day out of the office. Short working week Company provide many company events and off site days throughout the year which are great Private medical insurance is a great benefit that you don't get in many small companies

Pros

Memiah/Happiful are a brilliant company to work for. I've worked for places that pretend to care about employees wellbeing and mental health and you can tell the difference between a company that truly cares - such as Happiful and one that doesn't. The senior managers, directors and HR team go above and beyond to look after everyone. There's great perks such as private health insurance, money towards counselling, regular staff socials - recently the company paid for everyone and their families to take a weekend away. The work is also extremely rewarding as you are helping the public connect with mental health support and help. The work life balance is brilliant with an early finish on Friday's and flexitime options.

Cons

One of the cons would be that you're treated so well you would never want to leave. Most employees stay for a long time. Because it's a smaller company (40-50 staff) some people do outgrow their roles over time. The company do make an effort to ensure that employees are challenged with training opportunities, promotion opportunities but there will always be some people who this won't suit.

Pros

Memiah is dedicated to helping people, it's in their mission statement but it's more than just lip service, they actually do care about helping as many people as possible. Memiah also treat their employees really well with nice holiday allowance, bonuses and perks like access to life coaches, counsellors, nutritionists, etc. The hours are easy as well and everyone is very understanding and supportive and friendly! Everyone works really hard but also at the end of the day you are expected to leave on time and not expected to work after hours (for the most part - I put in extra time as a manager but that was my choice). You're also able to suggest ideas and management are really encouraging of that.

Cons

It's a small company (but it's growing quickly). The biggest downside is that depending on what level you start at, it is quite possible to outgrow the company in a few years, which is what happened with me. No hard feelings, there's just not the opportunity I need to grow my career here anymore. Management are understanding of that.
