Workplace is very hush hush about talking to other employees about salaries

Made every other job seem like heaven

I worked at a burger king franchise owned and operated by Meridian. Equipment was always broken, even when "fixed". If you're useful they'll squeeze everything they can out of you and your only reward is more work. Obvious embezzlement is occuring at this company. Thousands flow out of the restaurants everyday and they still "couldn't afford" to staff more than 2 people per shift.
