You must learn time management

Amazing opportunity for growth. I have learned so much about business and management, but also time management, goal setting, and mentality strength. You get compensated based on your performance, which for me is great because I've always outworked everyone in my past job experiences. You get to see everyone grow throughout the program- even our manager, Glen. My favorite part of it all is the tremendous impact we have every single day; there is no other environmental protection job where you could make such a huge difference. Work/Life balance depends on your personal situation. This program is front loaded so if you have a big influence in your life that requires a lot of your time, don't expect them to be excited with the hours in that first 6-12 months. The interview process has changed a lot in a really good way lately, but when I was interviewed it was very clear to me, which I appreciated. Business trips are really fun.

I personally haven't had many problems, but if you aren't a good communicator and a hard worker, you won't make it to management. Most people will let something about themselves or their life get in the way of the opportunity. Building a team is tough because of that reason. Training and retraining your team members takes time away from making your own money but as long as you see that as an investment and not a sacrifice, (and you can maintain your attitude!) you'll be fine. You will think about quitting at some point, but giving it a shot has been life changing for me.
