Pros
- Everyone is welcoming and supportive.
- The results-focused management style allows for flexible hours.
- I never felt pressured because expectations, goals, and deadlines were always clearly communicated or quickly clarified.
- Jeff and other coworkers do a great job making themselves available for support and questions.
- I was regularly reminded that health (both physical and mental) and school took priority over Metaform work over the course of my internship, making the duration of my internship highly manageable and enjoyable.
- I feel valued, and I am regularly explicitly reminded by management and coworkers that I am valuable and that I do good work, which has been so incredibly helpful and important for me to feel and hear in my first experience in an industry position.
- I've worked on a wide variety of projects and learned a lot of new tools and technologies, and throughout it all I've been directly and clearly contributing to the company's endeavors.
Cons
Due to the small size and remote nature, a lot of the work is largely independent; however, for me at least, this was only really a con at the beginning of my internship when I was still getting the hang of things and still learning to trust myself in a professional work environment.
