Pros
Interesting industry. Nice coworkers, sommetimes free food
Cons
If you enjoy being underpaid and under appreciated, come work for Metro Lighting. Hardly any training, but I learned a lot on my own and exhibited that knowledge. I knew as much as many of the other salespeople that had been there for 10 years, but it was never acknowledged. One day at the Brentwood store all of the lighting sales people came in and they had taken everyone's chairs, which is insane. You have to sit at a computer and research for hours sometimes. The showroom is almost the size of a Kmart and has concrete floors. Needless to say, everyone was angry and they gave the chairs back. Those types of ridiculous things happen when there is a customer complaint. Horrible, insane solutions that make everyone hate being employed there for a bad yelp review. If you do a good job you have to be a complete suck up to get any recognition. Oh, and the entire Frisella family works there. They get to work half as hard for four times the pay. So that is fun too. All in all, everyone that works there seems to hate it.
