Pros

Helping people in the community Good benefits Decent salary for salaried workers. Job stability

Cons

Poor hourly pay for frontline workers. Promotion goes to those who have an "in" with a higher up Company prefers to hire from outside the organization and rarely promotes from within for management positions Senior management is lacking in ethics, empathy for frontline staff, desire to follow their own core values and are oblivious to their own failings. The biggest concern is that Human Relations has their nose in everything. They are way too invasive throughout the organization and are only looking out for the best interest of the organization, not its staff. Their primary concern is in not getting sued. All disciplinary action revolves around not getting sued, rather than helping the staff member to do better or, often more importantly, rather than actually cleaning house and letting go of toxic employees. Human Relations is deeply involved in nearly everything that happens, handcuffing staff from being able to make real positive change within the organization.
