Cons
The positive reviews on here are almost certainly all fake. You have been warned. The scam: They advertise for a WIDE range of different positions (programmer etc), under the guise of being a recruiter (i.e. middleman) for companies who want to hire experts to train their AI data models. These positions are advertised as full time salaried positions at those companies. In my case, the position advertised was for an expert in Motion Graphics to train AI. The scam is that there is no other company recruiting. Micro1 is the only company in play here. Micro1 asks all applicants to take a ~30 min test/interview - not held by a human, but with an AI chatbot. This test is recorded (video and audio) using your webcam, under the pretense of "ensuring you do no cheat and are who you say you are". In actuality, you are handing over free use of your likeness and voice, plus any other data they are able to scrape, in perpetuity, to train their AI models or to sell to other AI vendors. It is a foul scam and one of which everyone involved should be deeply ashamed. This is all clearly outlined in the small print of their T&Cs. Many people have posted online who regretted taking the online interview, or who realized it was a scam partway through and bailed. I was fortunate enough to realize the scam having read their T&Cs, and not take the video interview. Bottom line: they trick people into interviews and then steal their likeness, voice, and any other data they can get their hands on to enrich themselves - the advertised jobs do not exist. Source: I applied for one of their jobs and found this out for myself after reading the small print. A quick google will find you hundreds of corroborating stories. Do not go near this company.
