Pros
I worked there for four years and I can not think of one positive experience. I can't even say that the staff hired are friendly. Everyone pretty much keeps to themselves; there is no team environment. If you are not one of the "favorite" employees HR won't even acknowledge your existence. HR will walk right pass you and not even utter a good morning or a hello. From management to many of the attorney's hired are very cold-hearted people that care very little about staff. I have seen them let people go before Christmas. I am aware of another paralegal leaving the firm because she/he had enough of the favoritism and discrimination.
Cons
The New York office is not diverse, and they should be embarrassed for not promoting and hiring more diverse attorney's/partners. If the attorney, partner or management does not like you; they won't give a second thought to lie on your review and be dishonest when speaking to your manager. I had a terrible experience during my tenure there; the firm is not warm or welcoming and I have experienced discrimination there. If you are low on billable hours they tell you to find work; {they won't give you work even though they may have work, this is part of the favoritism) but if you are a favorite, they will find work for you. Favoritism is big there and if you are not a favorite, you are ignored by management and HR. Management will make things difficult and they will even stoop as low as lie and plot to get you fired.
