Pros
- Great work environment and culture.
- There is a lot of great people who are part of the team.
- Many learning opportunities for control systems engineers as there's a lot of interesting projects, many of them overseas, and different systems they work with and learn.
- There's some working hours and WFH flexibility, depending on the project manager you're assigned to.
- Main managers are really good and care about the employee's wellbeing, but there are a few, especially within project management, that desperately need to improve their management style.
Cons
- Payment is a little below market average, and that is one of the reasons why there's a high turnover.
- There are many overseas projects, which can be good for people without family, as each stint can be 6 weeks at a time. Company seems to be reasonable about allocating people to these projects and taking their lifestyle in consideration.
- There are several issues within the project management department, where there are cases where a project manager micromanages people, treat them rudely, and explicitly doesn't want people in their team working from home, although there's an official policy for it. Several people have left the company because of that, but they don't seem to do anything about it.
