Once a quickly growing company with a lot of potential, Mission is on a sad downward spiral. Layoffs have been rampant for the past year, and good talent that carries a lot of knowledge has left Mission, willingly and un-willingly. There is no focus on customers or employees, only on profit, leading to most of the learning and development team being laid off, no raises, promotions, or backfills. There is money somehow throw lavish parties in Las Vegas for the sales teams with expensive entertainment (Flo Rida, Ludacris), in the midst of layoffs and budget cuts. The optics are not good.
Each person is expected to do the job of multiple people. At one point Mission had close to 400 employees, now it has less than 280, with a lot of outsourced contractors.
DE&I used to be a priority for Mission but that is no longer a priority - there are no senior leaders or directors (aside from one) that are not white males. Finding new investors is the focus.
The senior leadership team does not take accountability and does not know how to properly lead a company, and there is no indication of a plan moving forward. They embrace and embody the notion that all employees are expendable.
