Toxic culture with unstable management and job security - SDE-2 Modak Employee Review

The company suffers from poor project planning, unstable management decisions, and extremely weak job security. Employees are often left on the bench due to management’s inability to maintain proper projects, but the consequences are pushed onto employees instead. The allocation and layoff process feels completely random, almost as if names are being picked randomly rather than based on performance, hard work, technical capability, or contribution. There seems to be no proper evaluation criteria or transparency behind these decisions. Many hardworking employees are removed despite having strong technical skills, while internal politics, favoritism, and bootlicking appear to matter more than actual hardwork. Employees are constantly anxious about whether they will suddenly lose their jobs, even when the lack of projects is clearly a management failure. Higher management feels disconnected from employee realities and makes reactive decisions without proper planning or communication. Instead of investing in employees or creating stable opportunities internally, the company prioritizes short-term decisions that damage morale and trust. Overall, not a company I would recommend for anyone looking for stability, fair treatment, or a healthy work environment.
