      Pros

      Benefits; the people who used to work there; ESOP -when there was money in the company; 401K; Group outtings;

      Cons

      The company used to be a great working environment. Unfortunately, ownership changed hands, and it all went downhill from there. Company used to be proud of the long year tenure of the employees, but they laid them all off and replaced them with temps. Very sad. Closed many locations; replaced just about everyone; took their ESOP money.

      In recession volume dropped 30% and assets were sold and we had layoffs of 200 so 300 could keep jobs. No temps were employed in recession. management took significant cuts before employees. Might want to check facts. For the record my ESOP money is still in the company.

      A great place to land a career not just a job, A company where professional advancement is always within your grasp,.. you just have to take it. Merit shines bright at Modern and has led so many to long and rewarding careers. Key things to look at with Modern…. - many retire from Modern - many people have e been there in excess of 10 years - many people have left, only to return - many people being fiends an family I to the fold. Those are the key external indicators of a truly great employer.

      None at all- you won’t be sorry if you take a job and want to work and succeed.

      Some good people there but leadership is not.
