Pros

First full time job out of college and amazing experience. I have learned how to be a professional, to negotiate with business owners, and how to properly network. The benefits are nice, 50% matching 401k. Aetna truly sucks compared to Blue Cross but at least there is health insurance. Management does care about you as an individual and takes time to help you improve-only after you've proven your commitment to Modular. They do truly represent a great product and have super service. The team supporting sales is phenomenal. Once you prove yourself management really does their best to make sure you have the support to succeed

Cons

Car allotment of $500/mo. which is wrapped into salary is way too low. I spend nearly every dollar of that monthly on fuel and oil, but when I have a problem from over driving it I'm hurting. Expect 1,000 miles a week and turning your vehicle on and off 15-25 times a day. No leads, you have to walk into a business and introduce yourself. I've never been able to master to the computer software and I'm quite computer literate. Salary too low with car allotment included. Need more for phone too, must have smartphone for this job. Incredibly high turnover Constant "training" a repetitive nightmare Very competitive in nearly all accounts, it's really the nature of copier business though not Modular's fault. Hard to know what accounts you can sell. Even if you have large selling months you probably still won't make what you expected to.
