Pros

The culture is relaxed, I've never seen a heated argument unlike past companies. Co-workers are great, no egos or attitudes of superiority.

Cons

Poor forecasting and identification of product markets. Lack of commitment to knowledge workers. Like everywhere, eroding benefits. It is definitely NOT a pay for performance company. The person who works 50-60 hrs a week gets the same raise as a person 40 hrs a week, almost regardless of their performance rating. Basically a status quo to not upset people.

Pros

The company has a bit of a startup-like vibe, and still feels established. They’re pretty open to letting younger engineers take on real responsibility , which makes it a good place to grow. From what I’ve seen in all-hands meetings, the senior leadership also seems to genuinely care about employees—you can kind of tell they’re paying attention and trying to take care of the team.

Cons

There’s nothing perfect, enjoy the time when you get in.

Pros

You are surrounded by excellent colleagues across all departments, with the exception of Government Property.

Cons

The Government Property team suffers from severe leadership deficiencies and a toxic work culture. The Senior Manager has a well-documented history of high turnover, carrying a reputation from her previous role where team members actively sought transfers. Under this leadership, promotions are actively discouraged through targeted hostility and fabricated performance issues. Because the management team lacks foundational people skills and prior leadership experience, employee retention is critically low. While other departments within the organization offer great opportunities for growth, transferring into or staying within Government Property is highly discouraged.
