Pros

They bring in talented freelancers.

Cons

The tone of any company is set at the top, and at Moonbug that tone is toxic. Leadership is fractured; one chasing validation, one pushing only his own ideas, and one only there to coast and cash his paychecks. Instead of leading, they undermine one another. That dysfunction bleeds into every level of the organization. Nearly every department head has been put on a performance improvement plan. And it’s difficult to blame them entirely: they were hired into roles they were never qualified for. They lack not only fundamental knowledge of the industry, but also the most basic managerial skills. These are leaders who cannot lead, unable to build teams, inspire talent, or make even the simplest operational calls. It’s a collection of executives set up to fail, presiding over departments that never had a chance. The corporate narrative is that Disney will one day acquire them. The reality? Performance metrics are in freefall, leadership is in disarray, and the people entrusted to run the business are woefully out of their depth. At this pace, Moonbug won’t just miss an acquisition, they’ll destroy their own value long before anyone serious considers picking up the pieces.

Pros

The people really care about what they do and the teams pull together when things get busy. The atmosphere is casual with different places to work like a big patio with couches, tables and chairs, the living room, offices you can book, and lots of phone booths. The kitchen is fully stocked with a variety of snacks (the ones you shouldn't eat but you crave and a number of healthy options too.) We have Happy Hours, All Hands meetings and we celebrate a lot of the work the teams do here. People play ping pong and puzzle to relieve stress and if that is not enough there is a zen room to relax. Crazy good maternity leave benefits. Last but not least, the people.

Cons

The pace is fast and deadlines can be difficult because the goal line moves. Change is constant. 5 days in office, 4 would be better.
