Pros
The company has done a fantastic job of creating a welcoming environment. Having been around for a while, the company does not appear to be in a bad financial situation, yet at the same time, it is not so large that it feels bureaucratic. From my experience, the org is a tight-knit bunch who is very encouraging towards one another. Everyone is autonomous and driven, and I am getting to do greenfield development to take a significant new project from 0 to 1. The benefits and perks themselves are also fantastic, and senior leadership are all quite approachable and willing to chat at any time. Ultimately, it to a lot of degrees feels like a very big family, which is great.
Cons
The only real con could potentially be explaining to others what the company does. I personally don't care much, as I work on the engineering side. At that point, my job is to help build tools and platforms, not govern how they are used. It's quite easy to avoid discussing details with others if you are not comfortable with it. Additionally, 401k benefits not starting for 90 days isn't great, but is manageable.
