Pros

worked for the international department. if you are like traveling and herding place, that is the place for you. good benefits. get to see the world. the management works to create a good a collegial environment.

Cons

burn out from travels quickly. You understand that what you are doing is not making much difference and decided from above (USAID) and you are kept on dark and told by them what to do. You also realize even though your are Program Manager, what you are doing at the end of the day is organizing event.

Pros

--Interesting travel opportunities --Exposure to a unique sector --Good healthcare plan

Cons

In my opinion and experience: --A corporate culture in the International department where staff appear to be seen merely as performers, not as valued individual people deserving of work-life balance --Lack of accountability and transparency from leadership --Insufficient staffing and lack of robust systems result in inefficiencies --Inadequate retirement plan, which can be very de-motivating --Lack of real, demonstrated commitment to DEI
