Pros

-great if you have a few years left to retirement because the bank moves at a sloth's pace -if you are young, stay away from this place. There is no career growth

Cons

-only have a 45 minute lunch - unpaid -if you get a promotion, you are forced to buy the whole bank lunch with your own money -they actually take attendance - they log the time you swipe through the gate of the building and they make a stinker when you are 5 minutes late -senior management does not take responsibility for their own mistakes. Instead, they point the finger to their non-exempt minion -when I asked my manager if I can take a certain day off that is well in advance (example, it's January and I ask if I can get Christmas eve off), he'll say "let me think about it because I might want to take that day off -there's little to no chance moving up the corporate ladder/getting a promotion -bank moves at a sloth's pace. Even a tortoise moves faster than a sloth

Pros

New management is engaged, opening lines of communication and growing the branch -- budget, headcount, resources, etc. There is a feeling of positive change and motivation that was lacking under prior leadership. The momentum is exciting.

Cons

Here you must roll up your sleeves, but you also get to see and impact everything. Some people find this invigorating and empowering. Others find it frustrating as they want to focus on their narrower roles. If you prefer the latter, a smaller foreign branch (NBK or elsewhere) is not for you!
