Pros

NONE, the highest producing sales rep/manager only made 70 on their best year with the co. having worked there for over a decade.

Cons

This is quit literally run like a sweat shop. You are not aloud to talk to your cube mates aside from the lunch half hour. The lunch was moved to only a half hour as the owner found out employees were setting up interviews over the lunch hour. We were not aloud to take regularly scheduled lunch breaks. If you were found in the break room you would be bar-aided for steping away from your desk. I remember on multiple occasions the owner would go from cubical to cubical criticizing people numbers and calls yelling them in front of the whole staff. We would also get multiple emails a week, going out to the whole sales team, stating that we were not performing and criticizing employee performance. I couldn't believe that ANYONE would ever want to work there. People's jobs are threatened weekly in front of the wholes sales team if they fail to produce number he just randomly pulled out of the air. If you ask how those number came to fruition your job would be threatened. This was the worst job experience of my career. There is also ZERO room for advancement. There is a person that has been there 17 years and is doing the same thing she did on day one. There are a couple other that have been there 8 plus years and still at the same desk doing the same job.

Pros

The biggest pro for me was the ability to make commission in addition to my hourly rate. Even though there are a few weeks here and there where I don't qualify for commission, my overall early salary is more than fair. My previous employer paid me about 60% of the early salary I receive now. I know the management, especially one leader in particular, can be rude and discouraging. However, I have found that if I legitimately ask for help at a convenient time, he is more than happy to help me with the problem and suggest some methods that will allow me to do it on my own correctly next time. I have found that once you spend some time with him either one-on-one or within a small group, he is much more personable and is also much kinder and considerate. I have found that he is especially kind to those who openly consider him to be their mentor. The advice he gave me about my future career and everything else he assisted me with, helped me find an even better paying position, where my salary is about 135% of the salary I earned at Nexadental.

Cons

My biggest pro was the drama and gossip. I felt that most of it was pointless and only meant to make others feel bad. I noticed this tended to happen especially among females (not all females, just so I'm clear). I have found that small groups of employees are especially rude and inconsiderate to others not in their "group", especially when the employee was new. During the first few months, this group made it hard for me to work. They would talk about me negatively to the point where the knew I could overhear, but since I was new I didn't want to make any waves. I also wish that I always received commission. Even if I went under my sales goal, it would be very helpful and motivating to receive a smaller than normal percentage of the sales who fail to reach their sales goals.

Pros

Very small company with easy to learn products and excellent co workers. Located in a decent area. Rewarded with donuts and other sugary treats after a successful sales period. Sometimes fruit when the sales manager is feeling healthy. :)

Cons

Make 90-120 calls a day. Nexadental is a bottom of the barrel supplier with moderate products. If you are new you will receive training on about 15 of the 300 products within the first couple months. The turnover is very high so if you do not continually request training you will be forgotten and lose priority to the new sales reps. Your customers that make up the base of your quota only buy about two to three products from you and get the larger dollar items (brackets and wire) from either Ormco or 3m Unitek. Your job is to expand on these customers however, there has been at least 20-25 previous Nexadental reps doing the same thing, asking the same questions and pushing the large margin items. Orthodontists and Dentist are all set in their ways when it comes to the large margin items i.e. brackets, archwire, burs. mainly due to the teachings of their alma mater which means they are very reluctant to change and could care less about price. By about month three you will feel like a Professional Voicemailer and not a Sales rep/ YOU CAN'T SELL TO ANYONE IF THEY WON'T COME TO THE PHONE!! I knew this was a mistake after day one. My favorite quote from 95% of the receptionist..."its Nexadental again!!"
