Pros

Everybody is passionate about what NGX does. From top to bottom it has been an excellent place to work and grow.

Cons

As with most developer positions there are periods of crunch, and the pay could reflect a more accurate industry rate.

Pros

The company gets a good variety of projects across a pretty broad spectrum of subjects, resulting in a lot of interesting work. However, the biggest draw of working here is that the general company culture is highly engaged and communal; teams generally have good rapport, and overall the emphasis is on ensuring that all team members are supported as needed. In my personal experience, senior management is willing to take risks on people who may not have all the skills and let them grow into a role, if they're a good fit for the company culture. I've found that management sees those who work here as whole people, with lives and passions that - when supported and encouraged - create smart, connected, compassionate collaborators.

Cons

- Leads and senior management tend get overloaded, and this can have a trickle-down effect on the wider teams, resulting in issues around resourcing, time management, and training/onboarding. - There's been some growing pains as they've expanded in the last year, which have had resulted in resources (people and time) being stretched thin, but this seems to be leveling out now.

Thank you for your honest review. We’ve worked to improve the formal structure in recent years, since we want to support our growing teams. In the sake of transparency, in 2021 we recently restructured our management team to be more robust, with an entirely new layer of department heads dedicated to improving internal support. This includes Jonny Hepburn (Director of Creative Team), Richard del Rosario (Director of PM Team), Chloe Richardson (Director of Producer Team) and Jo-Ann Coggan (Director of People) We have added other internal promotions too within each department (Eg. Head of Software under Director of Tech, Head of Design & Head of Animation under Director of Creative Team, etc).
