Don't work here - Assistant Teacher NORY Employee Review

Nory expects a lot from their staff and it's not worth the pay. You will work over 8 hours a day and only receive a 30 minute break. If you are 5 or less minutes late to work they will expect you to stay an extra 15 minutes after work to make up for that short time. if you are over 5 minutes late they will expect you to stay 30 minutes extra. There will be someone micromanaging you and constantly critiquing you. When they correct you, they speak to you in a condescending matter. They don't consider your previous experiences or credentials, they will place someone with less experience in a higher position because they have a certain appearance. They create these extremely complex projects and expect you to do complete every project with the students. If the student don't finish the project, you are expected to complete it so they can have something to show the parents. Also majority of the projects they assign don't work and you are left figuring out how to fix it. They charge $900 a week for the students to attend the camp and they only give their assistant teachers $700 a week for over 40 hours of work. Its really not worth it, I worked for only 3 weeks and it was the worse experience I've ever had at a workplace.
