Pros

The only good thing about this place is some of the coworkers. A few people make it somewhat bearable, but that’s about it.

Cons

I honestly wish I could give this place zero stars. Management is terrible and makes the job miserable. Favoritism is a big problem, and if management doesn’t like you for any reason, they will micromanage you and look for reasons to get rid of you over the smallest things. I’ve seen many people quit or get fired because of this. Supervisors talk about employees behind their backs, which is extremely unprofessional. There are also concerns about management watching employees through cameras, which makes the workplace feel uncomfortable and controlling. If you ask for help, they act like you’re bothering them. When something goes wrong, management always finds a way to blame you. If night shift doesn’t report something broken, day shift still gets blamed. Day shift ends up taking the fall for most issues, even when they didn’t cause them. IT is no help either. When something breaks and we need it fixed right away, they just tell us to put in a ticket and walk away. Meanwhile, we still get blamed for not getting work done when the equipment isn’t working. This place is open 24/7, so don’t expect holidays off. If your shift falls on a holiday, you’re working unless you get time approved, which is very hard to get. When the weather is bad, including snow, we’re still expected to come in no matter how far we live. If they let you stay home, you have to use PTO or not get paid, so most people are forced to drive in unsafe conditions. Going to HR is pointless. Anything you say will get back to management and usually makes things worse. It can easily make you a target. You work long hours with only two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch, and sometimes you miss breaks because it’s so busy. Management doesn’t seem to care how overworked people are. Upper management can come in whenever they want, leave whenever they want, work from home, and take long lunches. But if regular employees talk for a minute during a slow time, we get in trouble. I would never recommend this job, no matter how good the pay sounds. Management at all levels is rude and disrespectful and treats employees like children. The stress isn’t worth it, and employees deserve better. The company was much better when it was run by LifeSouth, before the current management took over.

Pros

There are no pros. I guess that you don't need certification.

Cons

Normally I say get your experience and get out when a company is terrible, but don't even get experience here. The experience isn't something you can really use anywhere. This place doesn't care about the employees; turn over is high so you will be overworked. Instrumentation never works so you get backed up and then blamed for it. Pay is terrible.
