Pros

The software engineering team is excellent. Really awesome people. Great culture of learning and growth. Challenging work that keeps you on your toes, but the supportive environment helps ensure you can succeed. Great autonomy in the position, if you're responsible, this position helps accommodate all that every day life stuff that happens.

Cons

Not really any glaring issues. As this is a startup still, there can be some ambiguity at times, but this is getting better every day as the team grows both in numbers and cohesion. Process is always being vetted to make things better for everyone.

Pros

Well past the start-up phase, with tons of clients and new contracts coming in everyday. Products that impact our clients and their patients. Leaders in the company that listen to employees and users to make meaningful changes to products. ZERO executive management bloat. Common industry benefits and a program to help you lower your healthcare costs. Working at NDSC is more like a vocation than an occupation. Each week you learn something new.

Cons

The Madison office is in downtown, which can be a challenge to get to with traffic some days.

Pros

This is a very fun company to work for! First, the work: Because the company is growing fast, your role here really makes an impact on a growing team. There is ownership in everything we do, and our leaders really value our work, ideas, and opinions. You get to make a real difference working with hospitals and healthcare organizations across the country. My supervisors value my opinion and have listened when I addressed concerns and issues. The work and environment is fast paced. Your work can make an impact quickly. The culture: This is a very fun company to work for! Frequent happy hours, a monthly happy hour "patio tour," a kickball team, a book club - this place has a lot to offer! I get daily lattes at our espresso/coffee machine, many fun Slack channels (my favorite is 'DogsofNDSC' where we share updates and pics on our pups) , awesome coworkers. Benefits: Benefits are nice! Good amount of vacation, management is flexible with what you have going on in your personal live, work-life balance is good, retirement vests at 2 years.

Cons

The learning curve is steep, but if you work hard and hang in the first few months you will do great. Also, while vacation is good, I wish your vacation bank could roll over year to year.
