- Rampant company politics and toxic culture. - Too much uncertainty and insecurity in your job after seeing so many people leaving, you will wonder when it's your turn. - Needs backstabbing and top notch boot-licking skills to progress - Managers with questionable ethics and integrity who can blatantly lie to get ahead or avoid trouble and also steal credit from you to present to management. - Most bosses are obsessed with making money without heart and soul. - Used to have very good welfare such as CNY celebrations in hotels, monthly catered breakfast from hotels and well-stocked pantry, all these are gone now over the past few years - High turnover rate, more people are leaving than joining. - Managers and bosses can go for long smoke breaks and take their own sweet time to run their own errands while you slog away in the office. - People who can bootlick well will get to go for training to upgrade themselves while you slog in the office doing menial work. - No transparency from the management and does not communicate with ordinary staff - Non-collaborative environment, selfish people only care about their own work scope. - No career progression unless you do point number 2 above. Staff can be stuck at the same post for years and years. - No direction on where the company is heading, no future plans - No mission statement - No vision - No company values - No proper training programs in place - No proper procedures, everything is messy and all over the place. - Managers and some bosses are not competent, only know how to talk without substance to back them up and cannot make good decisions. - No recognition on your contributions.
