Would not recommend - Advertising Executive NeonLogic Employee Review

I started out at NL with high hopes and was really stoked to get started in the Marketing and Communications sector. I learned a lot of things really quickly, which I appreciated.

Career progression is very minimal, the role above mine involved more selling of our services, rather than do the more creative and strategic side to Marketing. Also, it was disappointing to see when we would hire for roles that the ad copy would include "Great team culture", but this wasn't created due to management finding people who got on. It just happened that our team culture formed naturally, not because of management. Salary was also an issue where no yearly reviews were part of the contract and salaries were only reviewed if there were complaints, issues or someone had left and they were not willing to rehire. It's rather ironic as we specialized in recruitment marketing and suggest to clients how to attract job applicants, but we wouldn't implement these values ourselves in our company. Management would also make you feel inadequate and insecure when a mistake was made. The process of communication made you feel very isolated. There wasn't a lot of praise either for when things did go well from managers.
